Safety is part of the plan

Birth centers care for people with low-risk pregnancies. Your care team checks in throughout pregnancy and plans ahead for the possibility that hospital care may be needed.

Questions people ask first

Licensed clinicians monitor your health and your baby’s health, prepare for emergencies, and coordinate hospital care when needed.
Your midwifery team provides pregnancy and birth care when birth-center care is appropriate. They coordinate with other clinicians when your needs change.
